Restaurant Nokka will organize a small farm market for the seventh time on 26th of August in Katajanokka, Helsinki. This food event will start the autumn season with wild reindeer from Lapland, cheese from small producers and many more! The market is a free event and it is open from 11am to 5pm on 26th of August 2017.
When you grave for fresh Finnish ingredients should you make your way to Restaurant Nokka, which is located in the rustic storage building next to the Uspenski cathedral in Katajanokka. “Pure Finnish ingredients deserve to be more noticed also in restaurants” says Chef de Cuisine Ari Ruoho. The small farm market will be organized for the fifth time this year, there you can taste and buy local ingredients and drinks from over fifteen small farm producers.
While exploring the market you can also enjoy the refreshments and food at restaurant’s terrace. Throughout the event you can find our chefs grilling whole pork at the terrace. We will be serving cold beer, wine and other drinks with it. At our café you can enjoy some coffee, tea and brownie from our own kitchen.
Since the beginning the backbones of Restaurant Nokka have been local and pure ingredients. “For us it is important that we know the people behind the produce. That is why the annual event is really important for our staff and guests as for the producers” tells Restaurant manager Terhi Vitikka.
